The task was to represent two texts (one which had to be a speech) and make them interact with each other. I chose Sylvia Rivera’s speech “Y’all Better Quiet Down” from June 23, 1973 at the Christopher Street Liberation Day Rally in New York City. For the secondary text, I chose the article “A Look at Transphobia Within the LGBTQ Community” by Logan Graves.

For the display text, which was Sylvia’s speech, I used custom fonts made by queer creators and that were inspired by the Stonewall Riots.
